OPTICS READY
The VULCAN 9 is ready for MRDS optics. Unlike competitors, our mounting solution does not require adapter plates to fit the most popular pistol optics on the market. Our screw pattern accommodates the Holosun 407k/507k, the Shield RMSc, Trijicon RMRcc, SIG RomeoZero Elite and other optics that use the Shield RMSc or Trijicon RMRcc footprints. The pistol ships with iron sights installed, a cover plate, and an assortment of screws and bushings needed to mount compatible optics.

FIBER-OPTIC SIGHTS
The VULCAN 9’s fiber-optic front and blacked-out rear iron sights use SIG Sauer’s P365 dovetail sight cut.

CO-WITNESS SIGHT PICTURE
Our custom-made sights co-witness with most optics without the need for suppressor-height sights.

"J" TRIGGER SHOE
Our “J” Trigger Shoe, available on select VULCAN 9 models, is the ideal interface for accuracy. Consistent trigger finger placement, combined with a consistent grip, form the foundation of an accurate shot. The J-trigger features a flat surface with a small bottom hook that offers an instantly repeatable reference point.

"ACCELERATOR" RAPID ENGAGEMENT GRIP SYSTEM
The left grip is contoured with a pronounced thumb rest allowing the shooter to exert downward pressure on the frame and control muzzle flip. We’ve also contoured the grips to focus on thumb placement for maximum efficiency during reloads while reducing thickness in key areas to accommodate shooters of all hand sizes.

TRU-AXIS™ BARREL
Every VULCAN 9 features our ground-breaking Tru-Axis™ Precision Barrel. Our barrels are made from 416R stainless steel using a special process that allows us to hold precise tolerances and guarantees incredible accuracy, reliability, and barrel life. Our barrels feature a black DLC finish.

FLUSH-FIT 15-ROUND MAGAZINE
The VULCAN 9 ships with a pair of flush-fit, 15-round premium magazines made for us by Mec-Gar. The magwell, frame, grips, and magazine baseplate are rounded and contoured to reduce printing. Our mags feature a premium, machined aluminum baseplate. The Vulcan 9 Ember includes one baseplate with integral storage for the included Multitasker Nano² sight adjustment tool.

MULTITOOL BASEPLATE
Never get caught without the ability to adjust your optic. Offered from the factory on the VULCAN 9 Ember and as an optional accessory, our aluminum Multitool Baseplate features a recess designed to hold a Multitasker Tools Nano² tool. The tool snaps in and is retained by the follower spring plate boss. The Nano² tool can be used to adjust your MRDS sight and also fits the VULCAN 9's grip screws.

FRONT- AND BACK-STRAP TEXTURING
We’ve machined an exquisite chevron-inspired golf ball-like texture into the front and rear grip areas of the VULCAN 9 frame. The texture is aggressive enough to provide positive grip in demanding situations but not so aggressive that it causes excessive abrasion of skin or clothing when carried.

    Vulcan 9 EMBER

Posted by James on Apr 22nd 2024

All right so after a long wait with quite a few set backs, I have finally received my Vulcan 9 Ember. The gun is beautiful, fit and finish are top notch, would compare it to my Staccato C2 in those terms. Texture is great, and the thumb rest/ gas pedal is very nice, That being said I have never shot another gun with that feature so take that into consideration. I did clean and lube it before taking it to the range for the first time, and it ran flawlessly! I put 270 rounds through it, using both magazines, mostly 115 grain PMC, but also put some 147 grain G2 hollow points through as well, zero hiccups. Sights are great, trigger is slightly heavy (But their again I have been shooting a Staccato and Geissele AR triggers for the past 2 years so I'm a bit spoiled) but the wall and break are excellent! Reset is a little far but I think that is just the nature of the SA/DA. Now for the whole gimmick, the Double action plus. Very cool and functions better than I would have imagined! I'm a big fan of the extra safety that comes with carrying with that longer heavy trigger pull of double action, and this system just improves upon it. It is kind of hard to describe, but it just works! It's a long but light take up, cocks the hammer back, and your just right on that nice, crisp wall that I mentioned earlier. Once I got used to it, I was shooting very tight groups at 10 yards. So yeah I love this thing. Optics mount/slide cut is great. Stuck a 507K with the Vulcan reticle on it because, of course lol. Hammer feels great, safety is nice and easy to actuate and disengage, similar to a 1911 safety to me, very easy to sweep off on draw if you wanted to carry that way. Slide release is super nice and smooth, easy to work. Nice bag with cleaning kit and lube. Easy to take apart and clean. My only slight gripe is that the magazine with the multi tool does kinda make a slight rattle noise, it is nice to have though. Think that about covers everything. Can't wait to put more rounds through it. I just ordered another 1,000 rounds cause I know I'm about to burn through what I got haha! Probably my new favorite pistol. You guys had me nervous for a while with the set backs in this first production run, but it seems it was all for good reason. I need to put some more rounds through it for my own reliability confidence, but that was an impressive first range trip, and this thing may well replace my Shield Plus for EDC. Great job, yal have made a product you should be proud of! Oh yeah, and probably the best manual for any gun I have ever bought ;)
