  • How was the LH9 series designed?

The LH Series is based on the Korean military sidearm; the Daewoo K5. Soon after its development in the 1980’s, the K5 was imported into the US as the Daewoo DP-51. After many years of battle proven history, we saw the potential in this firearm. We then decided to update and improve the DP-51 and turn it into the ultimate combat handgun. With some help from industry experts, endless trips to our factory in Korea, and tens of thousands of test rounds, it was ready!

  • What is special about the LH9 series?

The LH Series has an excellent track record. It has been used as the standard sidearm for the Korean Army for over 25 years! The design utilizes a unique “Double Action Plus+” trigger system which combines double and single action for a truly unique and smooth first shot. We use forged materials – no polymer frame here, yet nearly the same weight!

  • What sight cuts are used on the LH9 and REGULUS series pistols?

The original LH9 series pistols has fixed sights. The later LH9N, LH9CN, and LH9N-MKII versions all use Novak Colt .380 (.330″ x 65°) sight cuts with a .200″ front sight height. The REGULUS features standard, 1911-style (.495″ x 65°) Novak sight cuts with a .180″ front sight height.

  • Where can I find replacement sight for the LH9 and REGULUS series pistols?

Replacement Novak sights for the LH9 and REGULUS series are available from Novak.

  • What alternatives are there for factory LH9 series magazines?

We've been told that Smith and Wesson 5906 mags usually work in the LH9, but we can't guarantee their fit or operation.

  • What is the REGULUS?

Built from the highest-grade materials with cutting-edge technology and precision machining, the Regulus refines 30 years of battle-proven reliability into a high-performance, modular package completely made in the United States. Every aspect of the design was shaped by consumer feedback and reviewer insight – this led to many upgrades, including the modular platform, Tru-Axis™ barrels, refined trigger, redesigned sight sizes, and increased grip and color options.

Most REGULUS parts will work with all previous Daewoo DP-51 and Lionheart LH Series pistols with the exception of the 18-round magazines, extractors, and the updated REGULUS captured recoil assembly.

  • What is the VULCAN 9?

THE VULCAN 9 is designed to continue the heirloom quality and combat ready heritage that Lionheart is known for. You will find the VULCAN 9 easy to control, simple to maintain, and unparalleled in performance. Aerospace-grade aluminum makes the frame rugged, yet keeps it extremely light weight. Chromoly steel slides and barrels will withstand abuse for tens of thousands of rounds in every type of adverse condition. PVD, Cerakote, or traditional anodizing and nitriding (depending on model) protect the entire pistol, ensuring smooth function and resisting damage from use or corrosion. Every VULCAN 9 slide is optic-ready, featuring a screw pattern that accommodates the Holosun 407k/507k, the Shield RMSc, Trijicon RMRcc, SIG RomeoZero Elite and other optics that use the Shield RMSc or Trijicon RMRcc footprints. The frame comes standard with a Picatinny accessory rail, which allows you to attach your favorite accessories.

  • What sight cuts are used on the VULCAN 9?

The VULCAN 9 uses the SIG P365 dovetail channel with the following sight measurements:

Front Sight: 0.164 tall, 0.151 post width
Rear Sight: 0.296 tall, 0.146 notch width

  • Where are Lionheart firearms manufactured?

Lionheart's VULCAN 9 is designed, manufactured, and assembled in our Winder, GA factory. Our REGULUS platform was designed, manufactured, and hand-fitted in the USA. Our LH9 Series pistols were manufactured in South Korea by the former Daewoo Firearms factory. Secondary quality control, some assembly, and service was done at our location in Renton, WA.

  • Are the LH9 and REGULUS series available for purchase?

Our LH9 and REGULUS platforms are now retired so we can focus our attention on the VULCAN 9 platform. LH9 and REGULUS spare parts and service are still available and performed by armorers at our Winder, GA location.

  • What is your return policy on orders?

All firearm sales are final. Firearms may not be returned for refund or credit. Other merchandise ordered from LionheartIndustries.com may be returned in new condition in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (if you received an incorrect or defective item.) Please contact us using this form to initiate a product return.

At this time, we will not be providing any discounts on VULCAN 9 sales. As we launch the VULCAN 9 series, we will be evaluating the introduction of our discount program based on demand. Lionheart offers discounts for verified active duty military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders on other parts and accessories. Please use our Contact page to reach out to us for more details.

  • Are Lionheart pistols available for sale in California or Massachusetts?

Our firearms are not on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale in California or Massachusetts and therefore cannot be sold to non-exempt California or Massachusetts residents.

  • Why was my credit card declined when placing an order?

Our credit card processor compares certain identity information, usually your billing address, with information your credit card issuer has on file to maintain the security of your transaction. This is a strict check and sometimes something as simple as a misspelled street name or the use of an outdated address that your credit card company doesn't have on file will lead to a declined transaction. If you experience more than one declined transaction, please confirm your billing address is entered correctly in our order form and that your credit card company has exactly the same information in their records. You can confirm the information your credit card has on file, or change it, by contacting your credit card issuer.

  • Why have I received a notification from my bank that my card was charged after my transaction was declined?

When you place an order, our payment gateway runs your credit card and your card issuer is notified immediately to confirm the funds for the transaction are available. This is a temporary hold. If the charge goes through, the hold turns into a transaction, if it is declined, the hold is lifted in the next batch of transactions sent from the payment gateway provider to the credit card company, usually within 24 hours. We understand that it's upsetting to see a charge for a declined transaction. But, this is the way the credit card transactions work.

If you still have concerns about the charges, please contact your card issuer and they can further explain why the charge is there and when it will be removed.

SHIPPING

  • What is an FFL?

A Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) is an individual, dealer, distributor, manufacturer, or range that is licensed by the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) to legally deal in firearms. There are several different types of licenses for different uses. Some FFLs can import, manufacture, resell, etc. all depending on the type of license.

  • How do you ship a firearm?

All Firearms purchases must be transferred between licensed FFLs. We are allowed to ship to an FFL if they present us with an updated, signed copy of their dealer license. You firearm purchase will ship using a contract carrier such as UPS or the United States Postal Service. We are only allowed to ship a firearm via USPS if we are shipping to an FFL.

We are allowed to ship a firearm directly to an individual without an FFL if we are performing warranty or other armory services on firearms. The only shipping method allowed to send directly to an unlicensed individual is UPS or FedEx air. All other transactions must be done through an FFL.

  • Shipping Accessories

Products not shipped as an integral part of a firearm – such as additional optics, lubricants, and apparel MAY be shipped directly to your residence. Additional magazines or parts – those not shipped as included with your firearm – must be shipped to your local FFL if your state has restrictions on these items, such as magazine capacity limits. Please contact us if you have questions about restrictions on your state.

  • What are typical shipping times?

Firearms can only be shipped once we have made contact with the local FFL you indicated when placing your order. If you do not indicate an FFL, our staff will attempt to contact you to determine the nearest FFL, but this will cause a delay in shipping your firearm. Because firearm shipping times depend on FFL responsiveness, we cannot guarantee specific shipping times, however most firearm products ship within a week. Most products which are not a firearm, and magazines and parts not restricted by your state ship within 2-3 business days.
